What is prime attunement?

Prime Attunement is a feature in the online video game Destiny 2 that allows players to earn bonus rewards for completing certain activities after not playing the game for a certain period of time. Once a player has been inactive for a week, they will receive a message upon logging in that they have been "attuned" with the Prime. This allows them to earn an extra engram (a virtual loot box) for completing their first few activities that grant them powerful gear, such as weekly milestones or dungeon completions. Prime Attunement stacks up to three times, with each level granting an additional bonus engram. However, the attunement resets every time the player earns a powerful reward, and they must wait another week to re-attune and receive the bonus rewards again.
